How to integrate with Shopify App

Welcome to our guide on enabling data sharing between Shopify and NewsBreak Ads! Follow these simple steps to successfully connect your data from Shopify to NewsBreak for accurate event attribution and performance tracking.

Note: If your storefront utilizes third-party site builders such as Funnelish, ClickFunnels, or other custom landing pages in addition to Shopify, you must also implement the NewsBreak Pixel on those external pages. Ensure that the click ID (nb_cid) captured on these pages is properly passed through to your Shopify checkout to maintain accurate attribution and end-to-end conversion tracking. 

1. In the Shopify App Store, search for “NewsBreak”.

• Note: The search may be case-sensitive, so please enter the exact app name.
• You can also add it directly: https://apps.shopify.com/newsbreak-advertising

2. Click Install

3. Connect Your NewsBreak Account

1. After installation, you will be prompted to enter your NewsBreak Account ID.
2. Enter the ID and click Submit.

4. Create a New Event in NewsBreak Ad Manager (Refer to Best Practice Here)

1. Log in to NewsBreak Ad Manager.
2. Navigate to:
   Tools → Event Management → Create/Test Web Event.
3. Under Pixel, select:
   • Shopify
   • The event you would like to test
     • 🛍️ E-commerce: [Base Code] Page Load → View Content → Add to Cart → Initiate Checkout → Complete Payment
        
     • 📊 Lead Generation: [Base Code] Page Load → Button Click → Form Submission → Contact or Final Action (e.g., Payment)

5. Test the Event

1. Enter your Store URL in the Test URL field.
2. Click Go Test and perform the event(e.g. Add to Cart, Initiate Checkout, Complete Payment) on test url to complete the test.
3. Confirm that all events are received correctly.

 Special Case: complete_payment Event

• To verify the complete_payment event, you must complete a test purchase in your Shopify store.
• Once processed, NewsBreak will record the event.

6. Save Events

• Click Save to store all configured events
