Welcome to our guide on setting up RedTrack Postback on NewsBreak! Follow these simple steps to successfully track and exchange information between servers.
SETUP THE TRAFFIC CHANNEL AND CAMPAIGN IN REDTRACK
1. Log in to your RedTrack account and click 'Traffic channels.'
2. Click '+ NEW FROM TEMPLATE' and search for NewsBreak.
3. Once you click 'Add,' the NewsBreak Template should open up with the fields populated:

Please note that the s2s URL currently has the following field:
- Please use the conversion event of your choice, eg. complete_payment to replace the conversion_event above after 'event_type=' You should also be able to find the correct URL on NewsBreak after you choose your conversion event, as the example below.

Also, the role on the right is populated by default, hence the graying out of the macro/name fields. Once you select ‘None’ for the role, you should be able to see the macro/tokens and the name/description fields will appear.

Please check that only the macro/token field values should have the ‘__’ before and after the name and not the Name/Description fields.

Most importantly, the Click Ref ID field should have our callback parameter: __CALLBACK_PARAM__
4. Now hit 'Save' to save the template.
5. Next, go to the 'Campaign Details' section and create/edit your campaign. Please make sure the offer is activated first and select the NewsBreak traffic channel.
6. Go to the section 'S2S Postback for NewsBreak' and click 'Add.'
Once you click 'Add' it should have the NewsBreak Postback URL:
7. Now that the campaign is saved with the right offer and 'NewsBreak' is selected as the traffic source, you can simply hover over the link symbol and copy the campaign URL.

TESTING THE POSTBACK
For the final step, head over to the Event Management section and ‘Create/test web event.' Enter the event name, select your tracking type as ‘Postback’, choose 'RedTrack' as 3rd party tracking service and choose your conversion event. Follow the instructions in our Ad Manager to successfully save your event on our end.
From the 'Test Postback integration with RedTrack' section click the 'Generate Test Id' to generate a test click id from Newsbreak
Head over to Redtrack "Event postback test" section
For Event type please use 'complete_payment' or the event type you selected in Newsbreak.
The Sum should always be '1'
Clickid Newsbreak will be the generated click id from Newsbreak

Now hit 'Test Postback' and once Newsbreak receives it we should see the test successful, please save the event.
