Welcome to our guide on integrating a NewsBreak Postback with CPV One/Lab! Follow these simple steps to successfully track and exchange information between servers.
1. Log into CPV One.
2. Navigate to 'Sources' on the left hand side and click on 'Traffic Sources.' From here, you will import the traffic source.
3. Use the 'Quick Import Traffic Source' feature to import a template for NewsBreak.
4. Check the Postback URL to ensure it has the correct field and event type that matches NewsBreak and then save it.
5. Under Campaign Settings, select the traffic source as ‘NewsBreak.'
6. Under the 'Links & Pixels' section you can check the Campaign URL that will be used as a Landing Page URL in NewsBreak.
That URL should be something similar to this:
💡Please ensure that the NewBreak Click Macro i.e __CALLBACK_PARAM__ is present.
7. Next, check if the "Use Traffic Source Postback URL to mark conversions at your Traffic Source" box is checked and the percentage is set to 100%. If this is not checked, NewsBreak will not receive the conversion event.
8. Now you can switch tabs to NewsBreak's Ad Manager to test the Event in our Event Management tab.
💡 Please double check that you're using the right event type (as selected in CPV One) and use the Landing Page URL from Step 6 for testing. Note that you will need to complete the event action on the landing page, for example if it is a sale event, you would have to purchase the product. Once the conversion shows up in CPV One, it will successfully fire a Postback to NewsBreak.
